The Race Pace & Fuelling Assessment is a performance evaluation designed to measure how your pre-planned nutrition (gels, drinks, carbs, electrolytes, etc.) affects your pacing, energy, and endurance at and around your target race intensity.

What to Expect During the Test
The assessment is structured, supportive, and guided by ISHP performance specialists.
Here’s what typically happens:

Warm-Up: You complete a gentle warm-up to prepare your body and muscles.

Baseline Effort: You perform four 6-minute stages at and around your target race pace, recording key performance metrics.

Controlled Break: You take a 20-minute break and consume the fuelling products you intend to use during your race or long efforts.

Repeat Effort: You repeat the same four stages to assess how your fuelling impacted pace, power, and endurance.

Data Analysis: We compare your performance before and after fuelling to precisely understand how your nutrition affects your ability to sustain effort
